© Miss Petty

One of the most famous domestic drag queens, Miss Petty, remains exceptional on our stage by composing her own music for her performances. On the surface of three songs, it recalls the theatricality of music, which was created around 2005, and with more distinctive lyrics, it gives us an insight into the person of David Daniel, who is hiding under a drag. The name “Y2GAY” refers to the aesthetics of the early millennium, which is called “Y2K”. During the transition from 1999 to 2000, people feared that technology would not be able to change the date and that disaster would ensue. “My dad works as a firefighter, and I remember how he couldn’t celebrate New Year’s Eve with us because he had to be on duty for increased security if something really happened.” he remembers with a laugh, Petty. The new EP was a bit of a challenge for Miss Petty. He wants to show him that he can come up with a comprehensive concept, which is accompanied by a small change in sound. He steps away from the dance rhythms, but still retains his catchiness and distinctive phrasing. It is inspired by mainstream music from, for example, the Black Eyed Peas, Shakira or Justin Timberlake, which flowed from the radio around 2005, but with a modern jacket. Once again, she invited guests, Tonic contributed to the song “Masc4Masc” and Just Karen decorated the song “Clown”.

“I enjoy when different personalities and people’s energies meet, and that’s exactly what I want to capture in my songs. Especially at ‘Y2GAY’ I have my drag sisters from Haus of Garbage featuring – I’m trying to make other performers from the local drag community visible.” approaches the cooperation of the performer. The final “7AM,” probably Petty’s most personal song so far, was produced by the talented Aid Kid. And although the music background is several years old, it perfectly represents the current genres of PC music and hyperpop, which David himself likes to listen to and wants to get closer to. The EP “Y2GAY” was digitally released on July 30, 2021 on all music streaming services.

ERMAL META – FALLING STARS TEXT

I have to quit smoking
I will have stopped a hundred times
and also to look at you, to look so hard
you say it hurts me, but you don’t give a damn
it is the truth

I have to stop talking that I drank too much
but we’re all a little bit drunk on something or someone
but we leave it alone that a gift that nobody wants
it is the truth

Tell me you love me
even if you don’t believe it
tell me you love me while i’m still standing
tell me you want to leave
lend me some memories
tell me that you always love me more than everyone else
we’re not shooting stars

If we could start the stories upside down
so towards the end you can experience the beginning
with this disgust of pain, which you say is nothing and it will pass

Tell me you love me
even if you don’t believe it
tell me you love me while i’m still standing
tell me you want to leave
lend me some memories
tell me that you always love me more than everyone else
we’re not shooting stars

I want to sing
I want to be late
then if I feel alone, wake everyone up
hear you laughing at me talking as if I were God,
but it’s just me, just me

Tell me you love me, even if you don’t see me
Tell me you love me while I’m still standing
and before you leave, take my memories
that I love you more and more than everyone else
we’re not shooting stars

But let’s leave it alone
see you later

Upon entering the festival, people will be able to prove themselves by any negative test, confirmation of an illness or a confirmation of completed vaccination at least 14 days old. Adherence to the general hygiene rules will then apply on the festival premises. The Hrady CZ Light Festival continues to maintain a high level of accommodation comfort, for a fee visitors can again use the VIP camp PLUS included in the price with a tent for two people equipped with mats and sleeping bags. Released on the 30th, Happier Than Ever (Interscope e Darkroom) is the second great work of the singer, together with her equally talented brother, responsible for the most elaborate production and arrangements, which exude freshness and maturity, without sinning for excess or clichés. The pair, Billie e Finneas O’Connelll, great exponents of Bedroom Pop, a movement that consists of extra bass beats, whispered vocals and language that abuses irony when it comes to lamenting or taking waves from everyday problems. Bedroom Pop from Billie, very present on your first album, “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?”, earned the girl a shower of awards (6 grammys in one night, out of 7 she was nominated) and the crown of exploding star of weird-pop music for the youngest crowd. Title that once belonged to Lana Del Rey and Lorde.

And it’s in success “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” that Happier Than Ever it is born, grows and bears fruit. Of course, the focus of Happier Than Ever is to clearly and fairly detail the feelings of a girl who is not yet 20 years old, but who has (and is) going through situations that left older guys completely crazy and stuck in character: the weight of fame and everything it affects – love affairs, body conflicts, lack of privacy, responsibility to fans and exhaustion. It’s amazing to watch the girl’s maturity.

In means of his older brother’s sound experiments, Billie It hits the spot on the melodies and vocals that appear every now and then, giving a taste of the power present in the vocal chords of the American singer. Here I don’t refer to voices that go from treble to bass without being out of tune, it’s about how the voice of the Billie Eilish it’s interesting and not obvious. Not saying that, but saying, about the track entitled Billie Bossa Nova, just listening to know what I’m talking about.

The first part of the album is much more organic, more personal and calm, in the second half (with the exception of Oxytocin), the “stuff goes crazy”. Bathed in electronic references, it’s a music production class. Way he found to keep the audience very connected track after track. The song that bears the album’s name works like a pandora’s box, only the “good”, expressed in the pop punk take, Billie puts the cards on the table and presents that he can make even the most boring musical styles in a sound spectacle. I’m jealous of kids who can scream “I COUD TALK ABOUT EVERY TIME THAT YOU SHOWED UP ON TIME. BUT I1D HAVE AN EMPTY LINE, CAUSE YOU NEVER DID” the same way I go hoarse after locking myself in Wednesday and raging on The Strokes, Placebo and White Stripes, at the height of my teenage angst present in my 15 and 16 years, back in the early 2000s.

In short, she knows what she is doing, knows the path she wants to take and is fully aware that she came to nail Billie Eilish in the minds of many people out there.

The piece is arranged and produced by Matteo Costanzo (producer among others of Last e Leo Gassman). They wrote and composed it Alessandro Marino e Fabrizio Belli. The production is of Musical Editions Bulletin with distribution Artist First.

MARINELLI WORDS OF GLASS

Words of Glass it is an introspective journey in search of one’s “I”, divided between the desire for revenge and anxiety for the future. Here’s how the duo tells it:

Parole di Vetro is a letter to oneself, born from a difficult period for us in which the desire for revenge and anxiety for the future clouded our sight.

The single tells the conflict that exists in each of us between the sober and composed side and the ebro and confusing, but free side. In the song we also reflect on the present day, in which most people drift between the desire for stability and the fear of sacrificing their personality or their freedom for a better future.“.

The video of the single is also online, directed by Federica Lecce with the production management of Rodolfo Mannara

In the video clip, with scenes of daily life and cathartic moments in the streets of Bologna, the toxic and unstable relationship of two young boys is represented, two opposite personalities that symbolize the most conflicting sides of the man’s character.

Lei (Irene Dall’Olio), free spirit and uninhibited, bewitches and enchants his partner (Alessandro Marino) more moderate and thoughtful. The video ends with an open ending on the choice of the protagonist who must decide whether or not to continue to cultivate this love story.

The July 16, 2021, Esa Abrate released her new single, With You (Tonight), in duet with Patrik. After participating in Friends of Maria De Filippi, the singer continues his musical journey with an energetic song with innovative sounds. The song also marks the beginning of the collaboration with the Newco Mgmt from Francesco Facchinetti.

On the occasion of the release of With You (Tonight), We reached Esa Abrate to talk about the experience of Friends, but also to discover his plans for the future.

Interview with Esa Abrate

Hi Esa, welcome on All Music Italia.
The public got to know you thanks to your participation in Friends of Maria De Filippi 20. The program ended a few months ago and it is possible to take stock: how do you judge that experience? Do you have any pebbles to take off your shoe?

It was an absolutely positive experience. I would go back and repeat everything. It was very formative; “Friends” in fact, before being a talent show, a reality show, a show is a school of the highest level. I think I came out of the more mature and much more formed program.

During the program, you were subjected to harsh criticism from Anna Pettinelli. You have always responded calmly and politely. First, how did you do it? Didn’t it seem to you that those criticisms were inappropriate and perhaps instrumental, at such a short distance from the evening?

So, I ad Anna Pettinelli I’ve never liked it and this can actually be there, because everyone can’t like it.
Surely, as far as my specific case is concerned, she and I see things totally differently, but that’s okay. There was a situation where I let off steam with my teammates and, subsequently, a very heated confrontation with Anna. There is…
Unfortunately it was not understood that mine had been an outburst with some friends in a moment of anger. I think that in that type of situation it is important to evaluate and interpret well the context in which some things are said. Anyway, it was very important for me to say what I thought in a respectful and polite way.

We come to the present. For this summer you launched the single With You (Tonight) in duet with Patrik. How was this collaboration born?

Me and Patrik we have known each other for a year and a great mutual esteem was born right from the start, as well as a beautiful friendship.
The collaboration between us was actually proposed by Francesco Facchinetti, which surely got it right.
Thanks to Patrik, in fact, I think the song gained that little bit extra it needed. I also had a lot of fun singing the song with him.

Patrik

The song is sung in Italian and French, with a dancefloor rhythm; and offers different sounds than your previous songs. With you can it be defined as an experimental piece?

With you it is a bridge. A bridge between the old That and what you will soon know.

Beyond the musical profile, which part of Esa that until now had remained unexpressed emerges from this new piece of yours?

A change certainly emerges, an evolution as regards the musical genres with which I intend to confront myself.

Is there any other side of Esa as a singer and as a person that you would like to tell the public?

Absolutely yes, there are still many things that nobody knows about me. Really none. I’m going to talk about it in some of my new songs. They will not always be easy to understand, I definitely prefer to read between the lines.

With you it’s a duet. If you could make a wish, which other artist would you like to collaborate with in the future? And your ex-mates Friends Is there anyone you would duet with?

I have respect for all my teammates and would love to duet with Sangio e Aka7even, but not now. I would like to first define who he really is That and then open up.

Before saying goodbye, can you tell us something about your future projects? Will there be an opportunity to listen to you live?

There is still nothing certain at the level of dates, but there will be updates soon. I can’t wait to be able to sing along with all my fans, to whom I am grateful every day.

Erica Mou new album coming soon.

Will come out on September 10 next for Warner Music Italia Nature, new album by the Apulian singer-songwriter Erica Mou.

The title of the album comes from the “nature” of the word Nature itself which, in any language you want to read it, tells the essential, the future and the plurality, with different nuances: in Italian it tells us about the variety of beings and being . In English it speaks of the beauty of the universe. In French it emphasizes the lack of artifice.

And finally, in the Apulian dialect it alludes to sexuality that produces life. Nature is etymologically a word from Latin: it is a verb in the future, an endless birth.

The album comes four years after the previous recording project, Flag on the Moon. In between there have been many experiences of various kinds …

The publication of the first novel, There is thirst in the sea, of 2020, the theater debut with One last thing, a show by and with Concita De Gregorio, so Erica Mou he made the original music, conducting 1MNext 2021, the contest of May Day concert Rome and a duet with the Apulian singer-songwriter Spring, in the album Young people inside (you see who).

To date Erica Mou has five albums to his credit and a participation, in 2012, among the New proposals of Sanremo Festival where I come second with the song In the bathtub of time.

Erica Mou New album: Nature

With the new album the singer-songwriter will arrive at new nuances of writing alternating the use of languages, from Italian to English, passing through the dialect of her land, and associating in each song elements and processes of nature with emotions and behaviors of men. and women.

Nature is produced by the same Erica Mou together with the British multi-instrumentalist MaJiKer and built between Puglia, Toulouse, Milan and London. Here to follow tracklist and cover:

Still a teenage Billie Eilish is coming with her second line to defend the position gained by the fantastic debut “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?”. “Happier Than Ever” is a more advanced record, less surprising and not so groundbreaking, but still excellent.

Billie Eilish – Happier Than Ever

Released: 30.7.2021
Total time: 56:07

Tracks: Getting Older, I Didn’t Change My Number, Billie Bossa Nova, my future, Oxytocin, GOLDWING, Lost Cause, Halley’s Comet, Not My Responsibility, OverHeated, Everybody Dies, Your Power, NDA, Therefore I Am, Happier Than Ever, Male Fantasy

Publisher: Universal

Expectation. This is perhaps the heaviest burden that is placed on the backs of talented, successful artists. Billie Eilish will be only twenty years old this year, but with the first record she has experienced such a huge wave of popularity that the famous key second album is expected by all interested parties with even greater interest. Moreover, when she herself is under the constant pressure of judging voices on social networks and in the captivity of those own demons, self-criticism, mental health problems and anxieties about which she sang, whispered and whispered two to four years ago.

“Happier Than Ever” may mean that the singer is really the happiest in her life, but it certainly doesn’t mean that she has achieved peace, serenity and peace. Recitatives in pop music are usually quite a stupid idea, but I completely understand that the song “Not My Responsibility” must have appeared on the record because of its lyrics – this is probably the key message that Billie wanted to give to her listeners: “Is my value based solely on how you perceive me? Or is your opinion of me not my responsibility?”

Lots of slow songs on the recording illustrate the author’s musical adolescence. Billie ventures into new musical territories, such as bossa nova or jazz, but he’s still the best at how he can throw a disturbing sound or thought into a calm and almost boring mood. The title piece is excellently constructed, which spills over from the initial quiet pass into the second third, indicating an explosion – and it really comes in the form of the final rock part culminating in the grandiose sending of the addressee (sorry) to the ass. Of course, the singer’s brother, composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer Finneas deserves a separate paragraph, without whom Billie Eilish’s music simply would not exist. Its minimalist, refined production is breathtaking, surgically accurate and sensitive. He knows where all it takes is a sober accompaniment to an acoustic guitar and when, at what moment (and purposefully) to use a pulsating beat or a strange sound. An example is the gem called “GOLDWING”, which sounds like a disco in the church – I can hear it completely in the headlines of the next series of the series “New Pope”. On a fairly large area of almost an hour, many slow songs can create a dangerous place for a lurking stereotype. Fortunately, there are “NDA” type songs that have the famous one hook, a claw that catches you, a sound worm that clings to your head. There is a slightly experimental dance song “Oxytocin” or the hit “Therefore I Am” – which is perhaps the closest to those of the first album. And the imaginative, explosive “Happier Than Ever” has already been talked about.

It will be worth watching where Billie Eilish and her talent move on. In her early twenties, she has done an incredible amount, developing as a musician, directing music videos and still reaching out to her peers. How does everything that happens around her stand up and how will it be necessary with her in ten years? Will she be happier herself and her music more boring and ordinary? We can only guess.

Genesis’s “Foxtrot” record will soon celebrate its abrahames and definitely deserves attention even after those years. It can be perceived as a really fundamental deed not only in the band’s career, but also in the development of progressive rock. Who wouldn’t want to create such a gem as “Supper’s Ready” was and is?

Genesis – Foxtrot

Date of publication: 6.10.1995
Production: David Hitchcock
Tracks: Strana A: Watcher Of The Skies, Time Table, Get ‘Em Out by Friday, Can-Utility and the Coastliners Strana B: Horizons, Supper’s Ready: I. Lover’s Leap, II. The Guaranteed Eternal Sanctuary Man, III. Ikhnaton and Itsacon and Their Band of Merry Men, IV. How Dare I Be So Beautiful?, V. Willow Farm, VI. Apocalypse in 9/8 (Co-Starring the Delicious Talents of Gabble Ratchet), VII. As Sure As Eggs Is Eggs (Aching Men’s Feet)

The 1970 recording of “Trespass” defacto stylistically defined the direction of the Genesis group. Unlike the mournful forms of piano ballads presented on the debut of “From Genesis To Revelation”, which had little to do with the future sound, the second line directed the band to the form of art rock, although its members did not feel very well in this box. They defined themselves as performers of melodic songs with an overlap and did not want to be associated with the complexities presented by, for example, King Crimson or Yes.

The following year, the third line of “Nursery Cryme” was born. She confirmed and developed what was in the previous only in hints. Before that, however, guitarist Anthony Phillips and drummer John Mayhew left the band. The remaining trio of Peter Gabriel (vocals, flute, percussion), Tony Banks (keyboards, guitars) and Mike Rutherford (bass, guitars) was looking for a replacement. And she found. And not just any. The six-string batteries were dominated by stylistic guitarist Steve Hackett and Phil Collins sat behind the drums, who allegedly originally stood for a vacant post after Bill Bruford in the aforementioned artrock great Yes. The mentioned recording moved Genesis forward not only instrumentally, but mainly compositionally. They did not touch the top until a year later.

With the release, commercial success came and the band came together even more. She spent more time together, which she filled in rehearsing and composing. In the meantime, the offers for touring have multiplied (concerts in Italy, among other things, have been a success), where the newly emerging songs have been abraded. The ensemble’s singer and flutist Peter Gabriel had the idea in his head of how to make this entirely academic performance special. In addition to Frotman, the musicians sat (unusually at the time) during the performances, and Peter himself suffered from the idea that the audience must be bored with their music. And so he began to figure out how to surprise and shock concert goers. He started a little innocently. From introductory speeches to individual songs to make-up of a pierotic look, which took on more complex and frightening contours. But even that was not enough. He began to come (at that time) with increasingly bold costumes. From the mask of a lewd old man in the presentation of the song “The Musical Box” to the red dress of his wife and a fox’s head. And that was just the beginning. And perhaps this is the beginning of how the chimeric creature came on the cover of the next album, aptly named “Foxtrot”, authored by their court painter / graphic artist Paul Whitehead. The recording begins with “Watcher Of The Sky” with an almost cosmic atmosphere. Although Gabriel & spol. they have never been as big a supporter of planetary themes as their colleagues from Pink Floyd, here it is directly offered musically and lyrically. The theme of the song, which Banks and Rutherford are responsible for, was created by an authentic treatment of the view from the roof of a Neapolitan hotel into the night deserted landscape. The later stage presentation really resembled a kind of cosmic revelation in which, at the mellotron’s introduction, stood a motionless dark frontman’s silhouette with bat wings on his head, and only his phosphorescent eyes shone into the darkness. As soon as the song sounded, he spread his rainbow cloak and the show started in full swing.

This is followed by a noble “Time Table” with a baroque piano overture and a great Gabriel performance, which is a reminder of old moral values. It is followed by “Get ‘Em Out By Friday” – a story about social oppression and blackmail of residents by homeowners spiced with typical British sarcasm. Peter performs here in several roles (as typical for their work). First of all, as the narrator of the story, at the same time he transforms into other characters in order to draw the listeners into a complete story with dynamics and a change of voice. He then managed to sell properly at concerts, just in the form of changing costumes or make-up. The first page has an impressive beginning, other pieces gradually draw the listener into the whirlwind of events, after which everything explodes with a powerful story about the Viking and later English King Knut the Great. The monarch wanted to prove to his minions and flatterers that he was not the ruler of all things on earth, let alone the seas. He chose a demonstrative demonstration as evidence. He set his throne on the beach and sat down in it. He ordered the sea to stop at his feet and waited for the stormy tide. At first it seemed that the sea would stop at his feet, but then a second, stronger wave came and Knut washed away. This parable of the worthless and empty power of the rulers closes the A side in the form of the beautifully musically exposed and graduated “Can-Utility And The Coastliners” (Can-Utility – a phonetic pun with the real name of King Canute). In the very end, Gabriel tells the world with an urgent cry that: “Although his story is often told, can you say he’s dead?”

The other side is opened by Hackett’s fragile classic “Horizons”. A song that is still a part of all his concerts, not by chance. This is his first solo band act. Until then, the band was not taken too seriously, despite its undeniable qualities (the resemblance to George Harrison from The Beatles is purely coincidental). The mentioned miniature in the classical style is not only the editorial of side B, but also the own “Supper’s Ready”, the opus of the band’s magnum, which for many years became the focal point of its concerts and perhaps its strongest composition ever. At that time, it also became, to a certain extent, a defining composition of world progressive rock. The question could be: Why? There are so many epic songs, so why this one? The answer is not easy, but it is offered. This musical epic contains almost everything that belongs to the art / progressive rock genre. Fragility, dynamics, drama, tension, instrumental skill and a textual story, which is entwined with strong melodies, such as cotton thread and firmly tied by them. All on the desktop for an incredible twenty-three minutes. How many such songs are there in the world? The composition “Supper’s Ready” is a sequence of shorter songs, divided into seven sections, cleverly combined into each other so that it acts as one amazing whole, which engulfs and does not let the listeners go. It is interwoven with dynamics from romantic passages through a dramatic divide in “Apocalypse In 9/8” to the final duel of darkness with light. During it, to the sound of bells, the melody from the introductory section “Lover’s Leap” reappears, followed by an absolutely captivating finale, when the Angel standing in the Sun exclaims with his powerful voice: “This is the dinner of the mighty!” He returned to take his children home to his New Jerusalem. This verse, a clear reference to the last book of the New Testament and the Revelation of St. Jana is lined like a red thread and the subsequent creation of Genesis.

The singer’s verses (though often ambiguous) describe the battle between good and evil, and at least some parts are based on a real event in an English house in Kensington Palace, where Peter and his wife Jill attended a spiritualist session. This was led by their friend and producer John Anthony. At one dramatic moment, when Anthony was hypnotizing Peter’s wife, all the windows were unexpectedly blown away by the wind. Jill, in horror and to the fright of her husband, fell into a trance. “Suddenly we were wearing someone else’s faces,” Peter later said of this terrifying incident. Subsequently, during another experience, when he could not sleep and his wife was already resting, he saw the seven men in the hood walking through the darkened garden. These events influenced him so much that he gave them the main storyline in the composition. The struggle of good with evil with subsequent revelation. Paradoxically, quite incomprehensibly from today’s point of view, the members themselves did not adhere to “Supper’s Ready”. In retrospect, they admit that they had no idea what they had created and what would cause a stir not only for their listeners, but also for the mole. According to their words, they were mainly engaged in singing songs on the first page. Not that they would dress the other one, but they perceived it as what had always been put on second college. The best things mostly went for the first one. The resulting composition was actually blinded by individual topics, which they gradually brought. This combined and actually divided Gabriel’s sarcastic and comic “Willow Farm” insert. The rest was then formed on the basis of a pit. “It was actually the easiest thing we’ve ever done.” Mike Rutherford said with a smile to reporters’ question. Honestly, even after those fifty years, I wonder how they could have done in such a long area that you don’t get bored for a moment. Current bands have trouble filling a much shorter format. Genesis, however, succeeded to a great extent.

Such is their whole “Foxtrot”. Although one may know him completely by heart over the years, and although other soundtracks (especially flute and singing) have been added with further remastering, he never seems to get bored. Genesis then reached its peak. This is despite the fact that such gems as “Seeling England By The Pounds” or the top of the stage and music presentation “The Lamb Lies On The Broadway” followed. Years of fame awaited Peter Gabriel and Genesis, conquering the world not only with their original music, but also with what was later called rock theater. This work has not become obsolete in fifty years and “Supper’s Ready” will probably forever remain one of the world’s top songs. Forever 11/10.
