NASCAR? It’s not worth being first on this thread.

    2. Howard Dean says:

      Speaking of WOW!

Exit polls have shown that the contest between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama has produced deep divisions among Democratic constituencies. It looks something like tribal warfare. Whites have voted, if you average the results from the states, 53 percent to 39 percent for Clinton; blacks, 80 percent to 17 percent for Obama; Latinos, 58 percent to 39 percent for Clinton; Asians, in California (the one primary state where they’re numerous enough to gauge), 71 percent to 25 percent for Clinton.

Its been brutal. The divisions run deep.

Speaking of NASCAR and NCAA basketball. The young man at pretend practice (for the press) in Texas this week broke his kneecap when he tried to dunk the ball and slipped on some water.

He may never play basketball again and this car driver walked away from this wreck.

I am not a NASCAR fan, but the physics alone is fun to watch.

As my dad always says, “a good landing is any one you walk away from.”

    5. Howard Dean says:

Well, I woke up to another inch of Global Warming.

      Still snowing, very lightly though.

I think we need 5 more inches to set an ALL TIME record.

GW ended in 98, green house gases have been rising.

Mars/Venus surface temps have been rising at the same rate of the Earth.

Algore is starting this new dis-information campaign b/c of the information that contradicts what he’s been claiming.

Grade A propagandist. He should be jailed.

    6. House Sparrow says:

Ouch. I’m glad to see that the guy was OK. That would have been a tense 30 seconds for everyone until he climbed out.

I would love to see the tribal warfare continue ALL the way to Denver. Those two are doing all of Mac’s “negative campaigning” for him 🙂

    7. lisab says:

ok, why do men watch nascar? … it is stupid

beyond the fact that who cares how fast a car can go — the upper speed limit in the usa is about 65 mph — the cars go in a circle … hello … a circle …

it isn’t even exciting … it is like when you guys watch golf or australian rules football …

    8. jones says:

Why do women obsess about Italian shoes?

      Because they like to.

I am not a NASCAR fan, but I realizre there is much more to it than meets the eye.

    9. Bitterlaw says:

Jones – there is nothing to NASCAR. It is like saying there’s more to soccer than kicking a ball and not scoring goals. There really isn’t.

    10. jones says:

Look at a driver when he comes out at the end of a race. They aren’t just riding fast.

    11. lisab says:

“Why do women obsess about Italian shoes?”

because they are comfortable and you can walk in them without hurting your feet — plus they make your legs look fabulous

      nascar does not do that

    12. lisab says:

      Charlton Heston died, RIP

    13. jones says:

      a. There is no such thing as 800$ comfortable.

Show can in no way improve your legs. They look good or they don’t.

      Sorry.

    14. lisab says:

well … $800 shoes is a little extravagant … that is more of a boot price range

but trust me salvatore ferragamo shoes are very comfortable … and only about $300

      from wikipedia:

“Reasons for wearing high heels, which are almost exclusively aesthetic, include:

they change the angle of the foot with respect to the lower leg, which accentuates the appearance of calves

they change the wearer’s posture, requiring a more upright carriage and altering the gait in what is often considered a seductive fashion.

they make the wearer appear taller

they cause the wearer’s legs to look longer

they make the foot appear smaller

they make the wearer’s glutial muscles more defined while wearing tight pants”

    15. lisab says:

of which i need the taller. i’m only 5′ 4″ which is average but if you want to wear fancy clothes you need the heels or else your legs look too short.
