Paul Harvey-Dead at age 90
I can’t hardly believe. Paul Harvey has pasted on to glory and the Rest of the Story will have to wait till another time.
Today was not quite the Good Day I thought it was.

Tim V,

ty lisa

Tim V, Are you Tim Van that posts the “Issues” threads?
yes
My deepest condolences Tim V.
Christina’s a beautiful young lady and it must be so difficult to lose someone so young.
#14
Thought so, but wanted to make sure.
First off, my condolences for the loss of your niece.
With regards to the Issues, I wanted to thank you for posting those types of threads. I think they lead to very constructive discussion for the most part.
I didn’t catch the first 4, but caught Issue #5, “Small Government vs Big Government”.
I’m not sure if you have control over it, but I think it would be a good idea to put links to the “Issues” threads on the left or right nav bars or at the top of the “Old Stuff” page. That way there could be a running dialogue for those who want to continue. The threads seem to die of quickly when a new posting occurs.
Tim V,
You have my sincere condolences. Losing an older loved one is quite painful, and it is even more so when that person is so young.
Lisa
I agree Idealist
This site may be better suited for a bulletin board (or message board) layout, as opposed to a blog layout.
In the bulletin board layout, the thread with the latest posting automatically jumps to the top.
Big Joe,
You might be right, but I’m not sure the functionality of a bulletin board would be worth the trade-off of the familiarity of the current format for the long time posters here.
Right .. i think it would require a complete overhaul of the site.
just sayin though ..
14- this is Dave’s site. I just guest blog.
Tim V, I am very sorry to hear of your loss.
RIP, Paul Harvey.
what about a dow thread?
THE DAY COMMON SENSE DIED!
Paul Harvey was a constant, a generation, a foundation. The refreshing thing about Harvey, was the way he didn’t identify with a party. While he tried not to be about party his common sense made him everybody’s champion.
There was never a red or blue America there was only Paul Harvey believers or non-Paul Harvey believers. That’s what separated America. Common Sense or the lack thereof. Paul Harvey shaped my small-town life and gave me a conservative basis to form “the rest of the story.” “Good DAy!”
Just like my Papaw.
what about a dow thread?

Six inches of Global warming on the ground this morning.
Paul Harvey-bigger then life and remembered in death
Four inches of global warming in M’boro, TN this morning. Biggest snow here in about five years.
Tim V,
Very sorry to hear such sad news. Been reading your posts for years. Beautiful young lady. I’m praying for your family. (Romans 8:28)
RIP Paul Harvey and thank you for your contribution to our country.
bartman, thank you. My prayer is also that God can use her death for good. I KNOW that he can.
his word will not return void.
He will be missed. For so long he was the source for news no other reporter cared much about. And that VOICE… who could forget that voice when he said
“and now…..
you know…..
the….
REST of the…
story…!”
Хехехе!
