Candidate Of Change?
This was mentioned last night, but here is the image Hillary shows during her concession speech last night, as taken by Yahoo!/AFP.
So while having Bill Clinton, Chelsea Clinton, Wesley Clark, and MADELINE ALBRIGHT standing behind her. What on earth was her campaign thinking???
I was thinking last night while watching this might have been a fitting end to the Clinton era in American politics….

Don’t count them out. I won’t dare to dream until the stake is in her figurative heart.
NO, don’t count them out. HRC still has the best statistical chances of winning the nomination and also the GE and all the hate in the world can’t change this.
She is certainly not out.
But WES and MDEFL got a wake-up call last night.
You never say a race is over several months out.
Unless it’s an R running in SF.
NEVER.
That’s not Wes Clark, unless you’re referring to the guy on the left who’s cut off…
No, do not underestimate Hillary Clinton.
Yeah, never smart to write the Clintons’ political obituaries. They were booted from the statehouse in AR after only one term, only to come back. Then they turned a sex scandal into a political plus and won the Democratic Party’s nomination in 1992. Then it seemed he wouldn’t even be nominated for re-election by his party, but he won in an EV landslide. And then it looked like he might actually resign, only to turn his perjury into a political plus for his party.
But I still have to say that last night’s speech had an air of both a concession and a farewell. You could see it in everyone’s faces–they represented an old guard, and they knew their time had no been declared past.
If last night is any indication of how the Clintons plan to bounce back, then I say Obama will likely coast to the nomination now, and probably the White House.
I’m not sure I understand what’s so politically wrong about having so many former Clintonistas surrounding her …. despite the rhetoric about “change,’ isn’t her whole campaign is based on the assumption that people want a restoration? For those voters–who obviously aren’t as numerous as she thinks, at least in Iowa–such familiar old faces would be reassuring.
Obama isn’t coasting anywhere especially into the oval office. Get a grip.
I have yet to hear anyone in the mainstream media seriously question Obama. Any attacks on him will be deemed racist.
Iowa…fitting end to the Clinton era…I sure hope so. Few speak of her socialist mentality.
Tax the rich at 50%…health care for all…another tax. Hillary & Bill have all the dough they need…..only they want to yours, too. I could be wrong, but they don’t strike me as givers.
George H W Bush 1988
William Clinton 1992
William Clinton 1996
George W Bush 2000
George W Bush 2004
Hillary Clinton 2008?
Hillary Clinton 2012?
It is tough to see how this will happen even though it is “Inevitable?”
Jeb Bush 2016
Jeb Bush 2020
Chelsea Clinton 2024…
Hillary is just such an obviously transparent, un-likable phoney, and that’s the reason she’ll never win the nomination. It’s not about the issues, as it should be. It’s about mindless bonehead voters that come out to vote not on the basis of how their candidates feel on the issues, but their image, popularity, humor, and all that other nonsense. But, don’t get me wrong, Hillary is a disaster on all the issues, too.
On the Republican side, if it was about the issues and credibility as it should be, Duncan Hunter would walk away with the nomination. Take it to the bank.
